Background

b-active is an initiative created by Derby City Council aimed at tackling the problems of children today not getting enough exercise. The client aimed to tackle this through educating professionals, parents and children through various media including websites, flyers, posters, brochures, activity packs for schools, character design and event organisation.

Goals

  • To become the foremost portal for sports and activities for the residents of Derby.
  • Increase the numbers of people taking part in exercise.
  • Provide a wealth of information in a fun, easy to understand way.
  • Create a searchable activity tool for local sports centres to list current activities.

Solutions

  • Create the b-active portal to filter users through to the appropriate area of the site.
  • Design and build the Kickstart website, containing over 100 pages of info on various sports, from what kit to use to training videos.
  • Build a Content Management System for the searchable activity tool and provide search tracking.
